4. Hospital JCI Accreditations

Our physicians perform the procedures requiring general anesthesia or sedation at affiliated Hospitals that are Accredited by the United States J.C.I. (Joint Commission International). Most procedures are performed in the hospitals’ “Day Care Units” operated by skilled nursing staff and equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology. The JCI approval indicates the continued compliance of these hospitals with the internationally recognized standards and is a symbol of quality in providing safe and effective care to patients.

In order for a hospital to receive JCI accreditation, a team of qualified inspectors from the JCI assesses the compliance with JCI standards covering a wide range of activities such as patient Safety Goals, patient assessment and care, anesthesia and surgical care, medication management, patient and family education, quality improvement, infection prevention and control, administration, facility management, staff qualification and training and patient care management:

The Joint Commission International standards are developed in consultation with international experts, health care providers but also patients. The standards incorporate current scientific literature and expert consensus to help organizations measure, evaluate and improve their performance.
