Weight loss & Nutrition

Our Center offers Medical Weight Loss Programs that are thorough yet easy to follow. The program is personalized to your specific goals and health needs. Our expert staff provides an individualized and effective weight loss plan by reviewing your nutritional habits, and assessing your medical history. With a comprehensive approach to medical weight loss solutions, our team provides a range of non-surgical weight loss treatment options, based on your unique needs and goals. Our team of weight loss doctors and dietitians provides services such as nutrition consultations, diet and meal replacement plans, lifestyle counseling and medication for weight loss. You will learn how to make the healthiest choices for your meals, practice portion control, and learn about your unique nutritional needs.

Our medical weight loss program welcomes adults who:

  • Have a body mass index (BMI) on the upper end of normal or above (25 and more)
  • Want to improve their health and obesity-related diseases
  • Have a pediatrician requesting a consultation
  • Want to quickly decrease weight prior to an upcoming surgery, fertility procedure or other procedure
  • Have tried multiple weight loss methods unsuccessfully
  • Have had bariatric surgery and are struggling to keep weight off

Below are the two main steps provided in order to complete our Medical Weight Loss Programs:

Step 1: Metabolic Weight Loss Intake Assessment

Our extensive metabolic weight loss evaluation consists of:

  • Height, weight, body mass index (BMI) and waist measurements
  • Complete medical history review, including diets and behavioral eating issues
  • Physical examination by a metabolic physician
  • Prescriptions for blood work and any necessary medical tests
  • Resting metabolic rate and body composition analysis

Step 2: Metabolic Weight Loss Treatment

Once the metabolic weight loss intake assessment is completed, one of our metabolic doctors will review the results with the patient. He or she will address any vitamin or mineral deficiencies, inflammation, hormonal imbalances, or other breakdowns in the normal metabolic process that may be preventing successful weight loss.
Additional metabolic weight loss treatments may include:

  • Lifestyle changes
  • Behavioral modifications
  • Medically-supervised diet
  • Management of any existing medications
  • Prescription weight loss medications
  • Nutrition counseling and personalized eating plans
  • Exercise guidelines
  • Stress management
  • Referrals to other specialists, if needed

Our program plans are customized for you based on various factors, including calories, macronutrients, allergies, likes and dislikes, previous weight loss programs you might have used, individual progression, chronic health conditions, and medications in order to:

  • Provide comprehensive food and nutrition services
  • Instruct patients and their families on innovative ways to promote optimal nutrition, health and wellness
  • Provide education for disease prevention and nutrition counseling for chronic conditions
